"In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Global

Trent has started a new role with Cru on the Global Technology Adoption and Support team. You may be familiar with this team’s work since we’ve done several “migrations” with them. They help Cru leadership around the world integrate into our global technology systems.

Server migrations are a bit like helping a friend move. First the boxes are organized, packed, and clearly labeled. Then everything is loaded onto a truck, moved to the new home, and unpacked. It is important to plan ahead so that the moving weekend is as organized and stress-free as possible. Some people like to move themselves; others ask friends; some like to hire a company. Trent’s role is basically like having a friend who works for a moving company. He has done enough of these moves now that they have become routine. Some homes are more difficult to access than others. Some ministries have a few dozen people to move; others a few hundred. Each project with each country has given us a fantastic encounter with the work that God is doing around the world.

Some of these places can’t be mentioned by name for security reasons. Last week Trent trained one of our staff who said he might leave the video call if air-raid sirens go off. This is humbling work.

Ukraine

Just like you, we’ve been in shock about what’s happening in Ukraine. But it’s real. We cry loudly to God. We wonder what we can do. Here, we can donate diapers and food directly into semitrucks that go to Poland. We pray for our Ukrainian staff families, and we send support. Within Cru, we have over 120 staff in Ukraine. If you would like to give to them, please visit give.cru.org. The men have stayed to defend their country. Some regularly post prayer requests for all staff to see. Click here to read their most urgent prayer requests for specific people. Thank you. Your prayers do make a difference! May God end this evil.

Also, we have a brother in Christ in Platteville, WI, who is Ukrainian and just brought his parents to Platteville. If you'd like to bless them in some way, we could put you in touch.

Pray

We’re hoping to do an Easter outreach/egg hunt in early May. Please pray that God prepare hearts and leads us.

Tara, Lydia, Rachel, and friends preparing a worship dance for our church retreat. Maybe the Lord will use it in other venues, too?

Continue praying for the salvation of our dear friend Mauricette.

Tara and some other tired yet faith-filled mothers are starting a group for moms and babies at our house. It’s a big need right now in our church. Please pray God will edify families through these times.

Pray wisdom over our decision about Lydia possibly skipping a grade.

Pray for Trent’s new role with the Global Technology Team.

Let’s keep asking (and groaning before) God to bring His kingdom.

Thank you for your prayers and support!
Love, Trent, Tara, Lydia, Rachel, Tessa and Elise
